Kalkan's iconic pink Customs House is a prestigious listed building, dating back to the days of the Ottoman Empire. It is probably the oldest, and most certainly the most distinctive building in Kalkan, given its prestigious position overlooking the harbour and beach. Back when Kalkan was a trading port, the Customs House was the focal point of the trading activities and this is why it is situated in the most enviable of locations: at the heart of the Old Town, overlooking the harbour, with breathtaking sea views!
Located right on the beachfront, only few steps to the beach and harbour, Kalkan’s harbour restaurants and cafes are just around the corner. The narrow, bougainvillea-clad cobbled streets and shops of the Old Town are literally a stone’s throw away, but the Customs House remains a tranquil place.
Whilst steeped in history, this unique property has been tastefully restored to meet the requirements of today’s discerning holiday guests. You can enjoy sunbathing by the nearby beach, swimming in the the crystal clear waters or simply strolling around the Old Town shops and boutiques. Guests can also relax on the private roof terrace, with uninterrupted sea & harbour views, or enjoy the cool, shady but bright courtyard; a perfect spot for lazy breakfasts or early sundowners!
Boasting distinctive Ottoman Greek architecture, this magnificent accommodation has been beautifully restored & lovingly refurbished with outstanding results. The fully air-conditioned interior is tastefully designed with elegant furniture and exotic antiques & artefacts, which recreate the spirit of the property’s Ottoman heritage.
The ground floor includes a lounge, a full kitchen with oven hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, dining area and outside is a private courtyard terrace area with table and chairs and a large swing, where guests can relax outdoors. The spacious lounge has ample seating and includes a double sofa-bed, which can also sleep two people.
A mezzanine floor features an en-suite double bedroom and further lounge area while the 1st floor includes 2 en-suite double bedrooms each with incredible sea views. there's a washing machine in the bathroom and an iron and ironing board.
Guests of the Customs House can also enjoy complimentary wi-fi internet.

These are both totally self-contained apartments and can be booked separately from the main Customs House. However, a total party size of 15 people can be accommodated at the Customs House plus Sonsuz and Pembe apartments (subject, of course, to availability) and a combination of two or more of these units could provide a great base for a larger party... groups of friends, extended families, etc., right in the heart of Kalkan's Old Town.
