That's Villa Water's Edge in the prestigious resort of Patara Prince, right next to the renowned Villa Mahal boutique hotel. Its seafront position is a rarity in Kalkan. Large pools and sea-bathing are on your doorstep. A short stroll through the lush garden, which is effectively private, leads to the over-16s pool directly below the villa as well as the large main pool and the bonus of swimming in the sea, reached from platforms over the rocks.
This airy and spacious 3-bedroom air-conditioned villa is a "one-off" in this glamorous resort, unlike any other, and made special not only for its unique position with uninterrupted views across the bay and out to sea from all rooms but also for the luxurious garden suite we created a few years ago, matching the quality in the rest of the villa. The villa sleeps 6 (7 using full-size folding bed). The garden suite is not available independently.
The villa's elegantly furnished interior is spacious and welcoming both in the villa and in the garden suite below, reached by outside steps from the villa terrace. Bedrooms throughout villa and suite are good-size doubles, each with a hair dryer. All the rooms are air-conditioned and all have wonderful sea views over the garden which provides an oasis of shade in summer heat. Sleeping accommodation is in bedrooms, not on sofa beds elsewhere, although there is room for a full-size folding bed for an additional guest if required. Cot and high chair can be made available. Bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided .

Garden floor: The garden suite is a stunning space, fronted by full length glass to take advantage of the fabulous view directly out over the garden to the sea. It consists of sitting room with fridge and kettle; bedroom with king-size bed, carefully positioned for the view; bathroom with bath and shower; small patio with two wooden sunloungers. It is the perfect private space for additional family or guests and there is plenty of space for our full-size folding bed if required.
Ground floor: The villa main entrance leads into the open-plan sitting room with traditional fireplace and big French windows, stylishly decorated with Ottoman coffee table, antique artefacts, kelim rugs on the floor and as cushions on the generous and comfortable low seating. The well-equipped kitchen is separate, overlooking sea and garden, and has a full size cooker, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee-maker and electric kettle. Both rooms open onto the large partly-shaded terrace, fringed with bougainvillea and furnished with comfortable cane sofa, dining table and chairs. Steps lead down from here to the garden suite and patio. The downstairs w.c. houses a washing machine and there is an iron and ironing board. There is also a small safe.
First floor: The master bedroom has a Juliet balcony and boasts an elegant king-size four-poster bed, draped in fresh blue and white cotton. Its shower bathroom and w.c. is en-suite. The twin bedroom is attractively decorated in soft and light colours and has room for the folding bed, if required. Another shower bathroom and w.c is on the landing.
The delightful Patara Prince development of houses and a boutique hotel , right next to the renowned Villa Mahal hotel, are set in magnificent gardens running down to the sea. There are 4 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts (one floodlit), restaurants and bars while a water taxi operates across the bay to Kalkan, also reached by a pleasant 15-minute walk along a little-used road. There's plenty of scope for serious swimming not only in the two pools just below the villa but also in the sea, reached from platforms over the rocks. The sea is blue-flagged for quality and a gloriously tempting azure blue. The resort hotel, restaurants and bars are only a few steps further and our guests can take advantage of a 25% discount in the resort's restaurants and bars. Water's Edge has it all, and is the right choice for an especially magical experience.

Club Patara/Patara Prince Resort is one of Kalkan’s best addresses, where terracotta houses with pantile roofs are set in beautifully-kept gardens running down to the sea. Designed by the distinguished Turkish architect, Turhan Kaso, this exclusive gated complex with 24-hour security is a short distance round the bay and is adjacent to Villa Mahal boutique hotel. Sea-bathing, 4 swimming pools, two tennis courts (one floodlit); restaurants, bars, a boutique hotel, shop, make up the amenities. Watersports are available. Cars are not allowed in the resort apart from loading and unloading baggage but there is a free shuttle mini-bus to take you through the resort. A short boat or taxi ride takes you to Kalkan harbour and village or you can take a pleasant twenty minute walk in along a quiet side road. Our guests can take advantage of a 25% discount in the resort’s restaurants and bars.
